The long drive home............
Rest stop on our way from Telkwa to Prince George. We typically stop every 2 hours or so, mostly to stretch and check the equipment. On a day like today we drive 4 1/2 hours and stopped once.
We have 2,673 miles to go until we're home. We have driven 6100 miles so far.
I can't help it, it was a beautiful sunny day and I had to take pictures. We saw 2 black tail deer and an eagle. No traffic in this picture, but it has definitely gotten worse as we have traveled south the last few days. Gone are the Yukon days when you sometimes only saw another vehicle every half hour or so.
It's hard to see but there is a glacier on the top of the mountain.
This is the view of the river through the trees from the front seat of the RV in the park in Telkwa.
We took a great 3 mile walk along the Bulkley River in Telkwa. The trail went from our RV park all the way into the town proper. Gave us a chance to find the local watering hole. There was one, with a back entrance, attached to a package liquor store. We have seen this setup periodically as we have traveled. It always gives us pause, but we soldier on.

The backup camera in the RV stopped working today. Les took it apart and gave it his best but couldn't fix it. Another item for our ever growing list of things to get fixed when we get home. A lot of small items, nothing critical, unless you need a ice cube or to see where you are going :)
This is us in Prince George, Canada. The temps were in the 80s and the sun was shining. Gone are the glacier covered mountains. We will miss them. Nothing really around here to see, we will be driving 5 straight days to make it back to the US. The RV parks in this part of Canada are small, but have had nice hookups, and are the least expensive of all the places we have been this summer. Just fine for sleeping one night and moving on.
It gets dark around 8pm now and luckily the night time temps are in the 50s.
