Alicia and Aaron came for a visit;

We picked the kids up at the airport in Anchorage on Wednesday, July 27th. They arrived around midnight. We had booked two hotel rooms at a small hotel near the airport so we could all get to bed after long days.

Thursday morning while we waited for the RV to be fixed we took a drive to Whittier.

 Look behind us in the picture below...................it's an iceberg.

 Alicia gave me a selfie stick for my birthday
 and now you'll see very silly selfie pictures. Sorry bout that!

While we were eating lunch in Whittier, the shop called and said the rv was finally fixed and we could come get it. We had about an hour and half drive back to Anchorage, and we had to make the 1pm tunnel opening so we could get to Anchorage and get going. The tunnel only opens for about 10 minutes each way every hour, so it can be a little inconvenient if you are in a hurry.
We got the rv, hooked up the truck and got going to Homer late in the afternoon. About 5 hours in the coach.

Homer is a beautiful place. Look at those mountains. This is the view from the RV front window looking over the fishing pond. Kachemak Bay is beyond the fishing hole.

Here are two good looking guys fishing. They didn't catch anything, but had fun trying to figure out what all the locals were doing. When the tide came in, there were almost a hundred people all fishing.
