Exit Glacier Hike and fishing;

We drove from Homer to Seward, an easy 166 miles; 3 hrs  26 min. The weather mostly cooperated and we had a little bit of sunshine
The guys went on a trout fishing half day excursion. It was a 7 mile drift fishing experience with fly rods. Neither of them had ever gone fly fishing before. Good news and bad news- it was catch and release, which was easy since they didn't catch anything. They also did not hook each other with all the flailing about. There were several bald eagles along the river, but they didn't take any pictures. Typical.

Alicia and I took a hike to the Exit Glacier

 That picture below says: if a grizzly bear starts to eat you fight back. Uh..................good to know.

It was cold at first and raining. But we warmed up
and the rain stopped. We had about a 6 mile
hike that day. We saw no wildlife.
On this trail there was a place to "check-in".
We wrote our names on a clip board then wrote that we made it back when we were done.

Alicia and Aaron took turns sitting up front with Les. It helps to spread the stress around a little.

We had a camp fire and roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. You have to at some point. It's a federal law isn't it?

We visited a few pubs along the way. Ok- maybe it was more than a few. All great places, with people that have interesting stories, one day we hope to find a bartender that can tell us something important, or true. But they are all great stories!
