Home tomorrow

We are driving 4 days in a row now to get home. About 350 miles a day is plenty of driving, dodging the idiots who will never figure out that 35,000 lbs. does not stop on a dime, nor does it turn immediately at 65 MPH. I promise, this will be the last mention in this blog about how stupid people are:)

Here we are in Rawlins, WY
Desolate, bleak, with no redeeming qualities, why do people live here?

Here we are outside of Amarillo, TX
This is a nice park, lots of Texan's. We don't have a picture of the park outside of Colorado Springs, but is was a KOA that was right next to a river with a small dam. It was really nice. No sign of roadside Marijuana stands in Colorado, very disappointing.

You all know the view between New Mexico
and Texas. Wide open spaces.
(that crack in the windshield is still there and we added a smaller crack to keep it company ) We have the insurance claim filed, and hopefully will get a new windshield in the week or two.
Sometimes you see a plane driving down the freeway. The propeller didn't move at 70 MPH- how can it ever fly?
Sometimes you have to vacuum the carpet. Not that this is the first time, but man can you collect some dust over 9,000 miles and 3 months on the road.
This was the little storm we had at the KOA in Colorado, we figure God was preparing us to be back in Texas.

Alicia and Andrea met us with a cookie cake and balloons.

We would like to thank everybody who has been reading this blog. We have had a great time this summer and are really pleased we could share it with you. We will be home Sunday in time for dinner with the kids and our granddaughter, so this will be our last post.
