Yellowstone day #2, June 13th  2016

The scenery today did not disappoint.

A Momma bear with 2 cubs, while we were taking this picture one car ran into the car in front of them because they were too busy watching the bears. ( or speaking Chinese to each other). We also saw another Grizzly, right next to the road, but the pictures are not great. There was a Park Ranger standing in the road to keep people moving, so it hurried the picture taking a little.

We must have seen a few hundred bison
I'm making a face but the falls behind us are pretty

For anyone who hasn't been to Yellowstone the park is a driving park. You pay your money then drive the roads. Along the way there are wonderful things to stop and see, gobs of hikes, places to pull off the road and take pictures. And 1000's of Asian people everywhere.

We took a short hike in this beautiful valley. Yes, I worried we'd see bears. No, we didn't see any.
But we did see this.
What looked to be a full size Elk, picked clean.

Above is Yellowstone Lake, it is much bigger than we thought. Saw a few boats out there, but not many. It was 56 degrees and a little chilly. We did see a descent sized marina, tucked into a corner of the lake.

This a full grown bull Elk getting a bite to eat on the side of the road. He had a full rack, and created another traffic jam. There is a large portion of the American public who can't understand the rule about not stopping in the middle of the road.

Tomorrow we have a long driving say to Shelby, Montana.

Thanks for following along.................
