 Good afternoon,

We had a good day of driving from Livingston, Montana to Shelby, Montana. About 5 hours of driving, stopped once for a few minutes to stretch and check the truck.

We drove thru Bozeman, Helena, and Great Falls
as well as many small towns.

The Rockies were beautiful, always something to see. There was a ton of road construction, having one side of the freeway closed while they blasted the hill sides to prevent falling rocks in the really steep areas. There were also some pretty good elevation changes, which were no problem, the RV stayed above 45 M.P.H. even in the 6-7% grades. Thank goodness for the Jake brake, it makes the downhills a lot less worrisome with all the weight we have including the truck. Les got us through all the obstacles and it was a nice drive.

Shelby is a very small town 36 miles from the Canadian border and 55 miles east of Glacier National Park. We got some fuel before we pulled into the RV park, it was raining and the wind was blowing about 40 MPH, the wind chill had to be in the 30's.

This RV Park is part of a Comfort Inn so we have access to the gym, heated pool, hot tub and breakfast. We had a good workout and a nice swim before dinner tonight.

  1. Lots to see. Reminds me of driving around Canada, lots of Deer and Bison, no bears though I am sure they were out there. Really enjoying your trip
